ADS (Asset Distribution System) is developed to effectively manage and to safely distribute video contents, used for the broadband video services such as VOD and IPTV.

ADS is an essential system along with the Ingest system to the broadband services for contents aggregation.

ADS provides various transmission types according to a type of contents acquisition and a service model, effectively manages video contents, and safely and rapidly distributes contents to service bases according to a schedule. It is composed so that all those transmission processes can be monitored in real time.

ADS performs contents management and transmission in combination with ISM (Integrated Service Management) and Ingest System.

ADS is composed of the Configuration Manager that registers composition elements and devices that are necessary for services, the Asset Manager that records meta-data in databases and manages it, the Schedule Editor that transmits and distributes contents and organizes schedules, the ADS Controller that controls and monitors the contents transmission and distribution, the ADS Server that conducts transmission and distribution, and various modules that controls flexible linkage with external systems.

Stability of System

The load balancing function and the redundant system configuration enables the stable services even in case an error occurs
Efficient Transmission Method
Group transmission by client enables fast transmission speed and efficient use of system and network resources

Safe Distribution and Operation of Contents

Encoding algorithm enables safe contents transmission and real time monitoring minimizes errors in operating services

Tailored Transmission Types for Services

It provides various transmission types according to service models and network environments for efficient service operation.

A transmission type suitable for an asymmetric network structure such as the ADSL-based network.
- 1:N connection between ADS server and ADS clients.
- Server transmits a same media file in order to ¡°N¡± number of clients in
  recurring event.

Suitable for ring-structured or tree-structured networks.
- 1:1 connection to all clients in transmission group of ADS server.
- Upper-leveled clients, receiving data from the ADS server, replay the received
data to lower-leveled clients in real time.
- It enables more efficient data transmission by relieving the network traffic
concentration at the terminal of an ADS server.

Used for asset transmission through a QoS-guaranteed network or a satellite
- Asset transmission through reliable multicast.
- It provides error-free data transmission service by setting data transmission
speed and using reliable multicast method.
- It provides two types of data retransmission option; data retransmission through
TCP and data retransmission through UDP.

Integrated Management of Contents

You can manage registration, revision and deletion of contents, server information, content list for each area and so on.
Unicast / Multicast
It transmits assets to each ADS client through internet, VPN and satellites with IP-based unicast and multicast transmission method.

Reservation and Batch Transmission

Reservation and batch transmission is available for each service base by calculating the average transmission speed for each content and by scheduling the transmission time and the area.
Monitoring
It enables real-time monitoring every content transmission status; whether contents are transmitted on the scheduled time and whether contents are transmitted without an error.
